To make sure your caviar arrives as fresh as possible, it is packed when your order is placed and shipped with Fedex Overnight shipping.
We aim to ship orders placed before 1:00pm PT on Monday through Thursday, within 1-2 business days. We may face delays during busy periods but you will be notified. We do not ship on Friday with Saturday delivery unless specifically instructed to do so. We do not ship on major holidays.
We also use a FreshTag to ensure that the caviar is kept at the correct temperature throughout delivery. Please note that the FreshTag is only valid during transportation. We recommend that you dispose of it upon your order's arrival.
Overnight shipping refers to the service provided by the courier to deliver your order the day after it is shipped out from our facility, in order to ensure that your caviar is kept at the optimum temperature conditions throughout the delivery process, irrespective of the time the order was placed.
We charge a flat fee of $14 for all orders under $245. We provide complimentary shipping on orders over $245.
Our caviar comes in an insulated box with enough ice packs to keep it fresh for up to 48 hours. We also use a Fresh Tag - a temperature monitor. It is on the back side of one of the tins in your order. A deep orange or red Fresh Tag at the time of receipt indicates that the correct temperature was not maintained during delivery, in which case you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery by calling 1.323.902.3271 or e-mailing HelpDesk@LoftCaviar.com. If the Fresh Tag is green or orange/green, the caviar is safe to consume.
The FreshTag is only valid for transportation and it will turn red anyway after 48 hours. Please dispose of the FreshTag upon receipt.

Upon receipt, please check the Fresh Tag on the bottom of one of the caviar tins in your order to ensure that it is still green or orange-green.

We ship your caviar in insulated boxes with sufficient ice packs. We also use a fresh tag - a temperature monitor - to ensure the temperature stays cold enough during transportation (not afterwards).
When you receive your caviar we suggest that you refreeze the ice packs and place the tins in the coolest part of your refrigerator, between the ice packs, replacing them when they become liquid.
Unopened tins will stay fresh for 3 weeks, in optimal conditions. After you open a tin you should consume it within 48 hours.
Insert a tin opener between the lid and the tin ridge and twist it so that the two parts spread open. The tins are vacuum-sealed and require some effort to open.
If you do not have a tin opener you can use the back part of a spoon or a knife.
Caviar should always be served chilled. You may also place the tin in a bowl nested in a larger bowl of ice.
It's important to never serve your caviar with metal utensils. We recommend using traditional mother of pearl, bull horn or pure gold serving spoons.
Loft Caviar has two ingredients: Sturgeon Roe and Salt.
We never use hormones, unnecessary antibiotics, or preservatives other than salt.
